Making decisions together

Rural communities have developed ways of balancing individual ideas and opinions in decision-making processes. Members initiate activities in the best interest of the whole community showing leadership in rural development processes.

Have you decided what kind of society you want to achieve together?
By adopting the LEADER/CLLD approach communities have taken on the responsibility for deciding and designing their own living and working environment and for contributing to social inclusion and sustainable economic development of their territory.

How does your community deal with decisions that concern common interests?
What values are important in decision-making?

Rural Parliaments help to bring these rural community values to the attention of government officials at the national and European level.
